This Olive White Ash bowl has some beautiful, feathered grain and was twice turned. Olive Ash does not refer to any specific species of Ash, but instead is in reference to the darker, streaked heartwood found in some Ash trees, which tends to resemble the wood of Olive trees.
All the natural inclusions, including two holes, were left in the bowl to maintain the unique grain pattern and natural features of the wood. It will make a beautiful
serving bowl, snack bowl, dining room decoration, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Makes a great housewarming gift.
The wood came from an arborist near Provo, Utah .
The bowl Finish:
Sanded to 600 grit then treated with Walrus Oil cutting board oil which is a food safe wood finish recipe made up of Coconut Oil, Mineral Oil, Vitamin E, and Beeswax, FDA compliant for food contact surfaces such as cutting boards and butcher blocks.
