Here is a beautiful hollow form vessel made from a neighbor’s Bradford Pear tree. The vessel is approximately 6.5” tall and 4” in diameter at its widest point. The vessel developed a couple of small cracks while turning and those were filled with crushed turquoise before the final turning. This finished with shellac, before using an ultrafine sanding past to bring out the shine.
Excellent decorative piece.
As with most hollow forms, the inside is not finished or sealed so it is not suitable as a wet flower vase.
